Minimalist Waterfront Home Architecture and Design
This project demonstrates our approach to modern architecture, where the structure recedes to highlight the natural environment and create a seamless connection between indoor spaces and the landscape.
A collage of our "Waterfront Home" project, featured in Architectural Digest. The design philosophy was to create an interior that feels like a part of the landscape, protecting from the elements while embracing the view.
This image highlights the minimalist aesthetic of the "Waterfront Home." The top photo shows the indoor water court, while the bottom photo captures the seamless transition from the living area to the lakeside through floor-to-ceiling windows.
A short video tour of the "Waterfront Home," showcasing its key features: the exterior view, the central water court with the floating staircase, the connection to the landscape, and the serene, light-filled interiors.
The floating wooden staircase in the "Waterfront Home" is a sculptural element in itself. It rises alongside a textured cork wall and overlooks the indoor water feature, blending natural materials and modern design.
About Project Spotlight: The Waterfront Home
Integrating an indoor water court requires meticulous waterproofing and ventilation planning to balance humidity, which we factor into the technical drawings from the start. We recommend considering how a central water feature interacts with your chosen flooring materials, such as our use of large-format Italian marble, to ensure the space remains practical while feeling expansive.
The Waterfront Home project showcases our commitment to modern architecture where the structure itself recedes to highlight the natural environment. We achieved this by installing floor-to-ceiling glass panels that dissolve the barrier between the living room and the lake. Inside, the design relies on a strict white palette and minimalist lines to keep the focus on the outdoors. The floating staircase, set against a textured cork wall, serves as a sculptural anchor, balancing the openness of the layout. Every element, from the recessed lighting to the indoor water court, is positioned to enhance light flow and serenity. We specialize in these types of residential projects across Bengaluru, focusing on open-plan layouts that utilize the local landscape. Whether you are planning a new villa or a major home renovation, our process involves detailed technical GFC drawings and careful material selection to ensure that your home remains comfortable and timeless.
