In the Ring: Competition & Sparring
Sparring is where we test what actually works. If you want to see how we build fighters in Laxmi Nagar, this is the place to start.
One of our female fighters competing at the Sangai MMA Championship in Manipur. This was a tough fight against a skilled opponent, showcasing the high level of competition our team faces and conquers.
Listen to the intensity of a live coaching session during a grappling match. I am guiding my student Shivam, telling him to use underhooks and control his opponent's body. Every move is strategic.
This is an inter-club championship match. I am coaching my student Shubham from the sidelines, giving him real-time instructions on how to take his opponent down. This is the raw, unfiltered environment where champions are made.
This is me competing in a No-Gi BJJ tournament. It is important for a coach to lead by example. I secured a silver medal here, proving that the techniques I teach are effective at a competitive level.
About In the Ring: Competition & Sparring
Sparring here isn't just about throwing punches; it's about learning control under pressure. I watch every session closely to ensure you are thinking about your next move, not just reacting. Whether you want to prep for a tournament like the Sangai MMA Championship or just test your limits, you need to understand how to manage distance and stay calm when things get chaotic.
Competition is the ultimate test. It shows us exactly where our training works and where we still need to grind. At Combat MMA Club, we believe that you can hit the pads all day, but you only truly learn when you face an opponent who is actually fighting back.
My students don't just train for fitness; they prepare for the cage. When we host inter-club championship matches, the energy in the gym changes. It’s raw, it’s unfiltered, and it’s where we turn students into athletes. I’m constantly on the sidelines shouting corrections—whether it’s reminding a student to use underhooks to control a position or telling them when to shoot for a takedown.
I don't believe in protecting you from the reality of a fight. If you want to compete, you need to be ready to take a hit and keep moving forward. We do regular No-Gi BJJ sessions, wrestling, and kickboxing drills that simulate real match intensity. We’ve had fighters represent us at the Sangai MMA Championship and local Delhi circuit events.
If you join us for sparring, expect tough love. I want you to be smart, aggressive, and calm when things get chaotic. Whether you are aiming for a national medal or just want to understand what a real fight feels like, our Laxmi Nagar training floor is open to you. It’s not just about winning the match, it’s about winning the mental game.
