The Coach's Corner: My Training Philosophy
Fitness isn't just about the gym—it's about the discipline you carry into your daily life. Here is how I approach training, from the whiteboard to the final set.
Every workout here is part of a plan. This is me mapping out a session on the whiteboard, detailing everything from the warm-up to the strength components like bench press and deadlifts. My approach to martial arts and combat fitness is structured to ensure you are always progressing safely and effectively.
Many people say they get bored working out alone, but I believe learning to train by yourself is crucial for building focus and discipline. Your fitness journey is your own. Whether you train alone or in a group, the most important thing is to show up and do the work for yourself.
What you do between sets is just as important as the lift itself. I teach my clients to focus on their breathing and stay present, rather than getting distracted by their phones. Small details like this make a huge difference in your overall strength and performance. Apko pata bhi ni chalega ki 30 secs ki phone scrolling 3 mins mei badal jaegi.
About The Coach's Corner: My Training Philosophy
When I map out a workout on the whiteboard, it isn't just a list of exercises; it's a blueprint for your session. I don’t believe in rushing reps to finish faster. Whether you are training solo or in our group sessions at the Sector 104 facility, the real work happens in the small details—like ditching your phone during rest periods to actually focus on your breathing. That 30 seconds you save on scrolling is 30 seconds you gain in intensity.
People often ask if they should train alone or in a group, or if they need to 'feel motivated' before stepping onto the mat. My answer is always the same: motivation is fleeting, but discipline is permanent. You don’t need a gym buddy to be consistent; you need to respect your own schedule.
My training philosophy is simple: technique first, intensity second. In our 4500 sq. ft. facility in Sector 104, Gurugram, we don’t just train for medals. Whether we are drilling boxing combos, working on BJJ ground control, or pushing through CrossFit WODs, the goal is to build character.
If you find yourself scrolling through your phone between sets, you are losing the battle. I encourage every member to put the phone away, track their own progress, and take ownership of their rest times. That is the 'tapasya'—the dedication—that makes a real athlete.
We cater to all levels, from complete beginners to those prepping for combat sports or local races like Hyrox. You get access to industrial-cooled training areas, specialized MMA mats, and expert coaching that guides you on footwork and striking mechanics without the fluff. If you are ready to stop looking for excuses and start showing up, come join us for a trial session.
