My Approach to Clay

I believe in the Maati Putr (Child of the Earth) philosophy. Every piece I create at Clay Explore is shaped with intention, starting from a lump of clay and ending as a functional piece of art. My studio in Prabhadevi is where the entire process happens. This includes throwing, trimming, glazing, and the two rounds of high-fire kiln processing that make my stoneware durable enough for commercial environments.

Partnering with Restaurants and Cafes

I work closely with chefs and business owners to create restaurant tableware that enhances the dining experience. Generic crockery often feels cold. My goal is to add a handmade, tactile quality to your tables. I have designed custom caddies, tumblers, and platters for various Mumbai cafes, focusing on practicality. Think stackable bowls and chip-resistant edges that handle the rigors of a busy kitchen while remaining dishwasher and microwave safe.

Thoughtful Corporate Gifting

For corporate events and festivals, I move away from the standard, forgettable gift options. I design hampers that people actually want to keep. By pairing my handcrafted ceramics, like bowls, mugs, or desk accessories, with thoughtful packaging, I create gifts that carry a personal touch. Each set is produced with the same high standards as my tableware, ensuring your branding is represented in a beautiful, durable format.

Customization Details

My custom production process is collaborative. We will discuss design and form to match your interior style or specific plating requirements. We will also select from my range of matte, glossy, or reactive finishes that are 100% food-safe, and explore incorporating your logo through stamping or embossing where possible.

Because I create everything from scratch, please account for a production cycle of 4 to 8 weeks. This allows for the necessary drying and firing times required to produce stoneware that lasts.
