About Artisanal Ceramics
Made by Hand, Made for You
I shape each piece with my own hands, right here in my small Prabhadevi studio. Clay Explore is all about slow, mindful making - every mug, plate, and bowl tells its own story. Sometimes you’ll spot a tiny flaw or a wonky brushstroke. I don’t hide those - that’s what makes it feel real, like something you can actually live with.
Everyday Ceramics That Feel Special
- My plates, platters, and bowls bring a bit of ‘maati ki khushboo’ (earth’s scent) to your dining table. I love painting lotuses, ferns, and fish, along with abstract patterns that just feel right in Mumbai homes.
- The mugs and cups come in all sorts - from spicy chili-handle mugs to earthy, rustic tumblers. You’ll spot my hand at work, especially in the Keya Collection.
- Bowls for snacks, pasta, or just about anything. Some are plain, some have a quirky twist.
For Your Home - More Than Just Tableware
- Wheel-thrown vases and planters with odd shapes, because why should your flowers be bored?
- Hand-painted plates that double up as wall art - ekdum alag che (really different).
- Ceramic diffusers with floral cutwork for a gentle vibe around the house.
Process, Care & Custom Touch
Everything starts with stoneware or porcelain clay. I often use sgraffito ceramic technique to scratch out designs, especially in my Monsoon Collection. Most pieces are sturdy, but if you get something heavily painted, best to wash it by hand. Custom clay gifts are always welcome - I enjoy making something that’s just for you.

My Story
Hey there, I’m Yashashri, and this is Clay Explore - my tiny studio tucked in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Everything here starts with my two hands and a big dose of inspiration from nature - fish swimming, lotus blooming, birds fluttering. I’m all about making simple moments feel special, whether it’s a handmade plate or teaching someone to play with clay. Exhibitions are cool, but honestly, the real fun is in the studio, making and sharing the clay joy.
