Custom Upcycled Blouses & Kurtis
Transforming heritage scraps and vintage textiles into one-of-a-kind, made-to-order garments that tell your unique story.
This custom-made kurti-style blouse is designed to be paired with sarees or skirts. The front features antique gold linen silk and a panel of hand-done Kutch embroidery.
The back of the blouse is just as important as the front. This view showcases the heavy Banarsi zari fabric, which adds a touch of opulence and a beautiful textural contrast.

About Bespoke Blouses & Kurtis
Every garment is a collaborative process where we fuse your vision with my collection of salvaged treasures. Since these are made-to-order, we usually start with a virtual or studio consultation to finalize your measurements and select the specific vintage patches that speak to you, ensuring the final piece fits as well as it carries history.
My process is rooted in the philosophy of 'scrap to story.' I believe that fabric waste is merely an opportunity to extend the life of a textile that has already witnessed a life of its own. When you commission a blouse or kurti, you are not just selecting a pattern; you are engaging in a dialogue with materials like antique gold linen silk, rare Kutch embroidery, and reclaimed Banarsi zari.
The Crafting Journey
Each garment is constructed with a focus on longevity and comfort. I use premium natural fibers for the base, ensuring that the silhouette is both elegant and wearable. The technical details, such as full cotton linings and internal fusing, are standard because a piece that looks beautiful must also be durable. Whether you want a crop-top cut or a traditional kurti style, we account for your specific body measurements through either studio fittings or detailed virtual consultations.
Material Heritage
I source materials from my own collection of vintage scraps and rare weaves. This means no two pieces are identical. We can incorporate specific elements—perhaps a touch of tribal mirror work or a specific Banarsi panel—to reflect your personal style.
- Fabric Bases: Antique gold linen silk, raw silk, hand-spun cotton.
- Accents: Kutch embroidery, Zardozi trims, handmade potli buttons, coin work.
- Finish: Fully lined, with options for padding and custom piping.
If you have a vintage heirloom of your own that you wish to incorporate into a new design, we can certainly discuss how to restore or re-purpose that textile into a modern, wearable form.
