Handcrafted Heritage Textile Art and Upcycled Designs
I transform salvaged textiles and vintage heirlooms into wearable stories through slow, conscious craftsmanship that honours our shared histories.
This is where each story begins. From a simple sketch and a collection of treasured fabric scraps, I meticulously piece together, stitch, and finish a completely new garment, creating a wearable piece of history just for you.
A bespoke wrap that marries the weaving traditions of two distinct cultures. This piece combines a vintage 'Tin Sinh' tribal silk from Laos, featuring a Naga serpent motif, with the earthy texture of hand-woven Kala cotton from Kutch, Gujarat.
I design custom blouses that are as unique as the sarees they accompany. This kurti-style blouse is crafted from antique gold linen silk, detailed with a band of vibrant Kutch tribal embroidery and a patchwork trim made from studio scraps.
A saree is more than a garment; it is a canvas. Here, a hand-woven silk, dyed with traditional Bandhni and Ajrakh block-printing techniques, hangs as a testament to the artistry involved before it is even draped.
This pure Matka silk weave from Bengal is a celebration of simplicity and detail. I finished the vibrant red saree with a custom trim made from salvaged scrap fabrics, ensuring no piece of beautiful textile goes to waste.
My work often involves giving new life to forgotten treasures. This salvaged camphor wood panel was painstakingly restored over five months and transformed into a fine art piece, hand-painted with tales of Krishna.
This improv quilt is the joyful result of my zero-waste philosophy. It is composed entirely of scrap fabrics and studio waste, with each patch telling its own story of color, texture, and origin.
The soul of my work lies in the details. This is a glimpse into my process of hand-painting a Kalamkari-inspired motif, a meditative practice that infuses each creation with personal touch and traditional artistry.
About Featured
Every piece here begins with a search through my vintage stash, where fragments of Kutch embroidery or Banarsi brocade find new life. When we design together, I treat your heirloom fabrics not as scraps but as the foundation of your story, blending them with modern cuts and sustainable textiles to ensure the final piece feels both timeless and deeply personal.
The Art of the Scrap
My studio philosophy is rooted in the belief that no material is ever truly waste. What some might discard, I see as a canvas waiting for a second chapter. I dedicate weeks to restoration, whether it is salvaging a camphor wood panel or stitching together a patchwork quilt from studio offcuts. By applying traditional techniques—like Zardozi hand-embroidery or Ajrakh block-printing—I ensure that each creation honours the soul of the original textile.
Blending Traditions
I find beauty in the dialogue between cultures. In this collection, you will see how I marry the intricate weaving of Laotian 'Tin Sinh' silk with the raw, earthy textures of Gujarat’s Kala cotton. This fusion is not just about aesthetics; it is about creating a wearable history. Whether it is a reversible shawl or a custom-tailored kurti, the garment becomes a medium through which global traditions chat with one another.
Collaborative Creation
Each item is made-to-order, allowing us to co-create something that truly reflects your vision. When you bring your own vintage fabrics, we work together to reimagine them into a new form—be it a saree, a dupatta, or an art piece for your home. This process is slow, deliberate, and deeply rewarding, resulting in a piece that carries the weight of memory and the freshness of modern design. If you are looking for clothing or decor that feels real, rooted, and sustainable, let us start a conversation.
