I breathe new life into forgotten pieces, transforming weathered trunks and wood panels into vibrant, functional art.

This vintage trunk has been given a new story. I restored and hand-painted it with motifs inspired by Kalamkari art and temple paintings, turning it into a functional and collectible coffee table.

About Restoration & Reimagined Art

When I restore a trunk or wood panel, I do not just paint it. I look at the grain, understand its history, and then layer it with motifs from Kalamkaari and temple architecture to give it a fresh purpose. If you have a family heirloom gathering dust, we can turn it into a functional coffee table or statement piece for your home.

True restoration is about honor. I believe that every discarded object carries a past worth saving, whether it is a sturdy teak trunk that has weathered decades or a simple wood panel waiting for a new layer of meaning. By applying traditional techniques—like Pattachitra line work or Kalamkaari patterns—I merge the object's original character with fresh storytelling.

This process is not just about surface painting. It involves identifying the right wood, preparing the surface to receive new color, and choosing a narrative that suits the item. A heavy trunk once used for storage can become the anchor piece of a living room, holding your books or serving as a coffee table. Similarly, weathered wooden panels can be revived into wall-mounted art that brings a touch of temple architecture into a modern interior.

To get started, you can share images of the piece you are considering for restoration. I prefer to see the raw condition of the object so we can discuss the structural and aesthetic path forward. My goal is to ensure the piece retains its soul while becoming something you can use and admire daily, rather than hiding it away.

I see potential where others see clutter. Every trunk or wood panel that enters my studio is a chance to revive a lost history, painting over the years with symbols that respect our heritage.
