Handmade Beginner Flow Arts Staffs

Learning flow arts should feel like play, not a chore. I make these practice staffs to be your partner in that process.

Why these work for beginners

• Custom Sizing: I cut every staff specifically to your height (floor-to-chin ratio). This makes it way easier to learn spins and weaves without the prop feeling awkward or unbalanced.
• Lightweight & Durable: I use 6061 T6 aluminum tubing. It is light enough that your arms won't tire out quickly, but sturdy enough that it will bend slightly under stress instead of shattering.
• Quiet Practice: The ends are capped with heavy-duty rubber stoppers. This protects your floors and mirrors, and it keeps the noise down—perfect if you are practicing in your apartment.
• Tacky Grip: The center area is wrapped in specialized sports overgrip. This prevents slipping, giving you the confidence to try new contact moves even if your palms get sweaty.

Getting your staff

Every staff is handmade to order. You can pick your favorite colors, and I will mix them to match your vibe. If you are looking to get into dual manipulation, I also build matched double staff sets calibrated to weigh exactly the same. Once you order, I usually need about 3 to 4 days to craft it to your specs before shipping it out to you. Don't worry about being perfect right away—we are all just learning to move and feel good.
