Sculptural & 3D Cakes for Celebrations
When you want a cake that looks like a rocket ship or a dump truck, you should not have to sacrifice taste. I specialize in building 3D cakes that are structurally sound but still moist and packed with flavour.
A construction-themed cake with 3D elements. This design features toy trucks and excavators on a pile of "dirt" (crushed cookies) and a road, perfect for a young vehicle enthusiast.
A fun KitKat-wrapped construction cake. The excavator on top is digging into the cake, revealing a surprise cascade of colourful gems.
An abstract construction-themed cake. I used painted buttercream patches and small fondant vehicles to create a modern and artistic take on the theme.
A colourful and modern construction cake for Rian. This design uses bright fondant cutouts of an excavator and dump truck against a light blue buttercream.
A minimalist rocket cake. The simple chocolate buttercream provides a clean backdrop for the fondant rocket topper, which is sculpted to look like it's blasting off.
A cute outer space cake with a friendly astronaut. This design features a fondant astronaut, moon, planet, and rocket ship on a space-themed buttercream cake.
Another take on a space theme, this cake for Nira has a golden astronaut and stars. The details give it a slightly more glam and stylized feel.
About this collection
Building a 3D cake is engineering as much as it is baking. I use internal supports like food-safe dowels and structural center rods to keep your design stable, while coating the sponge in rich, sturdy ganache to get those sharp, realistic edges without compromising the moisture of the cake inside.
Most people assume a sculpted cake has to be dense, dry, or mostly fondant to hold its shape. That is not how I work. Because I focus on the flavour first, I limit my 3D sculpted cakes to sturdy sponge bases, usually classic chocolate or vanilla, that can handle the weight of ganache and fondant without collapsing.
This means your design will hold up at room temperature while you cut the cake, but you will not be eating a brick. I hand-carve every shape, from vehicles to everyday objects, and finish them with high-quality buttercream or smooth fondant.
If you have a specific idea, we can discuss the feasibility. Some shapes require more internal structural reinforcement, while others allow for slightly softer fillings. Since I bake fresh in my Hebbal kitchen, I need at least a week of lead time for these complex builds to ensure the structure has time to set properly before delivery.
Butter
I’m Butter. I started this because I was tired of 3D cakes that looked like art but tasted like cardboard. I use my own kitchen in Hebbal to bake layers that stay moist, even when they are carved into rockets or dump trucks.
