Award-winning author Niyatee Sharma joined our StoryMOHsaic festival to share her heartwarming book, 'Perfect The Way You Are,' a beautiful story about celebrating what makes each child unique.

Author Nandita Rao brought the laughs with her hilarious book 'A Tree in my Stomach' at our StoryMOHsaic festival. Her stories make family reading time so much fun.

We were so proud to host budding young author Anam Sharieff. She shared her journey as a child author and read from her bestseller, 'Brother Trouble,' inspiring other young writers.

A read-aloud of 'The Scent of Roses' with author Adithi Rao, a moving story about a Kashmiri boy. The session included a unique essential oil blending activity related to the story.

It was an honor to have master storyteller and author Geeta Ramanujam grace our StoryMOHsaic festival. She is a pioneer of the storytelling movement in India and an inspiration to us all.

We love providing a platform for young talent. Here's the poster for the exclusive book launch of 'The Fearless Four' by child author Avya Krishna at our StoryMOHsaic festival.

About Meet the Authors & Illustrators

These aren't just readings where kids sit still for an hour. When I bring an author or illustrator to BOB, we pair the storytelling with something tactile—like building nests after a bird-themed book or crafting 'medu vadas' from playdough. It’s about letting children connect with the person behind the book, ask their burning questions, and leave with more than just a signature.

Why Meet the Creator?

When a child meets the author of a book they’ve read, it changes everything. Suddenly, the words on the page become a real person’s imagination. In our Jakkur studio, I make sure these aren't formal, stiff affairs. We keep the groups small so every child gets a chance to look the illustrator in the eye, ask about their drawing process, or giggle over a funny plot twist.

The BOB Approach

My philosophy is simple: 'learning by doing.' You won't find us just sitting in chairs. If an author visits with a book about nature, we’re out on the floor building nests with twigs and leaves. If we’re launching a funny story, we’re crafting characters or playing games. It’s about taking that spark of inspiration from the book and turning it into a tangible creation.

We’ve hosted incredible voices like Geeta Ramanujam, Asha Nehemiah, and Niyatee Sharma, alongside emerging child authors sharing their first books. Whether it's bilingual storytelling in Kannada and English or a deep dive into comic creation, the goal is always the same—to nurture a lifelong love for stories in our Namma Bengaluru community.

What to Expect at a Session

  • Intimate Setting: No crowded auditoriums. Our cozy, shoe-free space is designed for comfort and connection.
  • Hands-on Engagement: Every event includes a creative activity tailored to the book’s theme.
  • Personal Access: Kids can get books signed, ask questions, and share their own ideas directly with the creator.
  • Community Vibe: Parents are encouraged to join, sit with us, and be part of the storytelling fun.

Hi, I'm Neha! At BOB, I’ve built a space where books aren't just for reading—they're for bonding. I love connecting our little readers with the creators who inspire them, making sure every session in Jakkur feels like a cozy gathering of friends.
