About No-Gi Grappling & Self-Defense
No-Gi training at our Malviya Nagar studio is intense, slippery, and fast. Without the traditional uniform, you cannot rely on grips, which forces you to master precise leverage and body control. In these sessions, we focus heavily on situational escapes and live-rolling, helping you build functional strength that applies directly to real-world self-defense scenarios rather than just sport competition.
Why No-Gi Grappling?
Traditional Gi training is like physical chess, but No-Gi is about speed and adaptability. When your training partner isn't wearing a Gi, the game changes. You have to be sharper, stay lower, and anticipate movement before it happens. This style is incredibly effective for anyone looking to understand practical self-defense because it mimics the unpredictability of a real altercation.
The Jeet Kune Do Influence
We don't just teach standard grappling. We integrate concepts from Jeet Kune Do, the philosophy of Bruce Lee. This means our sessions are not rigid. We teach you how to flow, how to minimize telegraphing your moves, and how to stay calm when someone is pushing back. It is about becoming water—adapting to whatever your opponent does.
What You Can Expect
Every class at our Malviya Nagar facility follows a rhythm:
