About Corporate & Commercial Plazas
In corporate landscapes, the secret is aligning the hardscape with the building’s architecture, not just planting trees. For our 'Stripe Play' project, we synchronized the flooring patterns with the building’s shadow lines to create a cohesive rhythm. When the design feels this intentional, even a tight corporate plaza starts to feel expansive and restorative, turning a standard break area into a space where teams actually want to step out.
Designing for Workspace Wellness
Corporate environments often suffer from being overly clinical or entirely concrete-bound. Our approach to commercial plaza design is to act as a bridge between the workspace and the outdoors. We focus on 'Biophilic' principles, ensuring that greenery isn't just an aesthetic addition but a functional part of the building's infrastructure.
Our Technical Approach
- Materiality & Rhythm: We use hardscaping to echo the building's facade. By aligning paving patterns with the structure’s sciography (shadow play), we create a visual dialogue between the built form and the garden.
- Integrated Lighting: Lighting isn't just about safety. We use IP65-rated LED spikes and integrated strip lighting within benches to ensure these plazas remain usable and inviting after sunset, extending the value of your commercial asset.
- Sustainable Drainage: A beautiful plaza is useless if it floods. We implement concealed plumbing and high-density drainage cells under planters to protect slab integrity, especially for elevated corporate terraces.
The Human Element
