We transform offices and commercial venues into productive, living environments. By applying biophilic design, we create climate-responsive spaces that reduce stress, improve air quality, and encourage meaningful interaction.

About Commercial & Biophilic Workspaces

Most commercial spaces fail because greenery is an afterthought, squeezed into corners where it won't survive. We design the other way around, integrating courtyards and vertical gardens as structural elements, not just decorations. Whether you are battling acoustic issues in a high-traffic office or trying to create a climate-controlled breakout zone, we look at the site's natural micro-climate first. If your space has heat islands or noisy zones, we solve for those before we ever pick a plant.

At Kiasma Studio, we approach commercial landscape design as an extension of architectural planning. Offices, breweries, and hospitality hubs operate on a different rhythm than residential spaces. They need to be durable, low-maintenance, and capable of handling high footfall while still providing a sanctuary for users.

When we worked with SAP Labs in Bangalore, the goal was to break the monotony of the floor plates. We introduced traditional courtyard concepts—inspired by Rajasthani and Kerala architecture—not just for visual relief, but to create zones of pause. These courtyards act as natural air filters and acoustic buffers, significantly reducing the echo-chamber effect common in large corporate glass structures.

For KEUS in Hyderabad, we leaned into industrial minimalism. By pairing corten steel walls with hardy cacti and reflective black granite, we created a landscape that acts as an experiential showcase. This is not just about adding plants. It is about materiality: using stone to ground the space, water to mask ambient noise, and lighting to extend the usability of the garden into the evening.

In every project, whether it is the ruins-inspired Sanctuary Bar or a bustling brewery, we prioritize climate-responsive planting. We select species that thrive in the local micro-climate, ensuring that your office greenery does not become a maintenance liability. We provide a full scope of work, from 3D visualization and drainage detailing to the final planting and automation setup, ensuring your green space is as functional as it is beautiful.
