Capturing the Dynamic

There is a specific kind of magic when you put two siblings in front of a camera. The posing fades away, and the real personality comes out. My approach to sibling photography in Mumbai is to step back and let the story unfold. If we are in my Byculla studio at Salsette 27, we use simple backdrops so the focus stays entirely on the interaction between your children. If we are shooting outdoors, I create a space where they can run, play, and just be kids.

Why Twins Need a Different Approach

I have photographed many twins, and the dynamic is unique. There is a silent communication between them that is fascinating to document. During twin photography sessions, I don't force them to look at the camera. Instead, I observe how they engage with each other. This results in photographs that feel honest, capturing the camaraderie and the occasional, adorable rivalry that parents love to look back on.

My Process

• Studio vs. Outdoor: We can shoot in my controlled studio environment for a classic look or explore an outdoor location in Mumbai for a lifestyle, golden hour session.
• Wardrobe Advice: Keep outfits simple and coordinated without being overly matching. I want to see your children, not just their clothes.
• Patience is Key: I build in buffer time for every session. If the kids need a snack or a quick break to reset, we take it. You will never feel rushed at Tahi Photography.
