My Approach to Family Photography

I come from a VFX background, which means I treat every image with meticulous technical care. However, I leave the heavy editing for the details—skin smoothing and color grading—so the emotions in your photos remain raw and honest. My goal is to capture the things that actually matter: the secret jokes, the sibling banter, and the way your child looks at you when you are laughing.

Where We Can Shoot

• The Byculla Studio: My private studio is designed for comfort and focus. We use neutral backdrops and controlled lighting to keep the attention entirely on your family members. This setting is perfect for clean, timeless portraits where you want the focus to be on your expressions and connection.

• Outdoor Lifestyle: For families who prefer movement, I love shooting during Mumbai’s golden hour. We find a quiet garden or heritage spot where kids can actually run and play. These sessions are about 2 to 2.5 hours long, giving us plenty of time for walking, breaks, and snacks without the pressure of a ticking clock.

Preparing for Your Session

To get the best results, coordination is key, but don't overthink it. Avoid loud patterns or neon colors that distract from your faces. I always suggest picking a color palette—think soft earthy tones or classic whites—and building your outfits around that. Most importantly, arrive with the mindset that this is time for you to be present with your family. If the kids get cranky, we take a break. If you need a moment to feed or comfort them, we pause. This is your memory, and I am here to make sure it is a happy one.
