Creative and Themed Portraits for Kids
I use my professional background in VFX to turn your little one’s wild ideas and favourite interests into playful, high-concept portraits right here in my Mumbai studio.

A truly magical concept. Using my VFX skills, we created this underwater Harry Potter scene, where our little witch casts a spell beneath the waves.
Breaking through the ordinary! This creative paper-tear concept was a fun way to capture a playful family portrait, with everyone peeking through.

For the little Messi fan! We captured his passion for football in this energetic studio shoot, letting him show off his moves and his favorite jersey.
A creative pre-mundan shoot concept, where this little boy's amazing long hair is decorated with his favorite Paw Patrol toys.
"Baby on the way!" A fun and creative pregnancy announcement using a custom newspaper to share the big news with family and friends.
A fashion-forward portrait with a dress made of paper and a bouquet of flowers. This creative concept shows off her confident and stylish personality.
A sweet and simple floral theme. This little girl in a lavender dress, surrounded by pink blossoms, looks like she's in her own secret garden.
A cheeky tongue-out pose from our paper-tear series. This concept allows for so many fun and expressive portraits.
About Creative & Themed Portraits
For these themed shoots, we usually need to plan the concept a week in advance. Whether you want to recreate a movie scene or honor your family profession, I need time to source the right props and refine the setup before you step into my studio. This preparation ensures we get the lighting and composition right, so the final result feels like a story rather than just a photo.
How We Build Your Concept
My years in the VFX industry taught me that magic is in the details. When you come to me with a theme, I don’t just want to set up a backdrop and click a button. I want to build a small world for your child to step into.
We start by discussing your child’s current obsession—whether it is Harry Potter, football, or perhaps a dream of becoming a doctor like their parents. Once we have a theme, I plan the props, the lighting, and the camera angles. For my 'paper-tear' series, for example, we focus on capturing the sheer curiosity of a child breaking through a boundary. It is spontaneous, messy, and real.
Why the Studio Matters
All these themed sessions take place in my Byculla studio. I keep the environment controlled so we can manage the specific lighting required for conceptual work. Whether we are doing a complex composite shot or a simple studio setup, the goal is always the same: to capture your child’s personality in a way that feels unique to them.
Planning Your Shoot
- Consultation: We chat first to narrow down the theme. If you have props at home that matter to the story, bring them along.
- Preparation: I handle the setup and lighting design. You just need to bring the energy.
- The Experience: It’s not just posing. I let kids play and interact with the theme so we get those genuine expressions, not just forced smiles.
