About For the Love of Words: Book Launches & Author Talks

Our auditorium is intimate, with just 100 seats that put you within arm's reach of the author. We do not use formal podiums, so it is just chairs, a microphone, and the space to ask the questions that really matter to you.

We believe a book launch should be a bridge between the writer and the reader, not a monologue. Our events focus on the conversation that happens after the reading. You might find yourself in a discussion about sport psychology with an athlete, debating the nuances of translation with a polyglot, or exploring deep grief with a debut novelist.

We host these gatherings in our Indiranagar space, which doubles as an auditorium designed for acoustic clarity and proximity. Whether the event features a celebrated name from the literary world or a new voice launching their first book, the format remains conversational. We encourage the audience to get involved, ask their questions, and share their thoughts.

Because we are a bookstore first, we always ensure there is space to buy the book, get it signed, and linger over a cup of coffee. Many of our events are free and open to anyone who loves a good story. We have hosted book discussions on everything from children's fiction to dense political memoirs, and the only requirement is your curiosity.

Looking for a specific genre? Our literary gatherings cover a wide spectrum. We celebrate regional language works, explore translations from Tamil or Kannada, and host workshops that dive into the mechanics of storytelling. If you are in Bangalore and looking to meet the people behind the stories, come drop by.
