A Peek Into My Artistic Journey
Balancing my engineering career with my passion for painting is my personal escape. Here is a glimpse into how I experiment, grow, and find therapy through my art.
A dream come true moment for me, exhibiting my paintings at my office, Mercedes-Benz Research and Development. My art journey has been fueled by the motivation from my peers and friends. It feels wonderful to share my passion and the cause I paint for with my colleagues.
Me and mine. This is a collection of some of my early paintings that remind me of how far I have come. Looking at them fills me with pride and reminds me of the valuable lessons I learned along the way: to be patient, to explore, and to trust the process.
Here I am with some of my favorite early pieces. Each one represents a step in my growth as an artist. My passion for painting has made my life so colorful, and I cherish the lessons learned from every single attempt.
March was a month of magnificent exploration. I experimented with three new art forms: resin art, alcoholic ink, and acrylic liquid pouring. This video is a quick look at the different patterns and effects I was able to create while trying new things and expanding my creative horizons.
Here is a photo of me, completely absorbed in the process of painting. This was taken while I was working on the piece inspired by my hike in Germany. These moments of focused creation are truly my therapy.
A closer look at the wall of my early paintings. This collection includes a variety of subjects, from landscapes and sunsets to wildlife. Each frame holds a memory and a lesson from my artistic journey.
Another photo with my early artworks. I am so grateful for how my passion has grown over time.
About this collection
I believe that art is less about perfection and more about the experience of creating. Whether I am testing new mediums like resin or acrylic pouring, or painting on unconventional surfaces like wood and clay, I approach every project by simply trusting the process. This keeps the work honest and allows me to learn something new with every single stroke.
Art has always been more than just a hobby for me. It is a vital balance to my technical work as an engineer. When I started, I focused on simple canvas paintings, but my journey has led me to explore so much more. I now work with various mediums including heavy body acrylics, wood planks, and even clay pots.
My process involves constant learning. Some months are dedicated to pure experimentation—trying out resin art, alcoholic ink, or liquid pouring to see how colors react and merge. Other times, I am deeply focused on a specific narrative, such as my 'Kanasina Kanne' series or capturing the nostalgia of a travel memory on a wooden plank.
I love working on custom commissions because they push me to adapt. Whether you want a landscape based on your favorite hiking trip in Germany or a piece of traditional Indian folk art for your living room wall, I treat every order as a new challenge. Every finished piece goes through a careful process, including varnish application for durability, to ensure it lasts as a beautiful addition to your home. Plus, knowing that a portion of the proceeds goes toward supporting injured street animals makes the entire process incredibly rewarding.

Hi, I'm Ashwini. By day, I'm an engineer, but my evenings are spent lost in colors and canvas. This art isn't just a hobby, it's my therapy and my way of giving back to the street animals I care so much about.
