Quitting a stable job to pursue art was the biggest risk I ever took. Four years later, I am sharing the milestones, the messy reality of painting, and the stories behind The Art Pitcher.

This is me, Aanchal. I am the founder and artist behind The Art Pitcher. My journey has been one of following my passion, and I am grateful every day that I get to create art that transforms spaces and brings joy to others.

In this video, I share my story of transitioning from an analyst to a full-time artist. It's a journey driven by a lifelong passion for art and a vision to create more beautiful surroundings for everyone.

A candid moment of reflection after completing a project. This journey of over ten years has taught me the importance of working hard but also slowing down, and I am so grateful to be able to do what I love for the rest of my life.

I was extremely thrilled to win the award for Best Art Entrepreneur at the Bangalore Women Brand Awards. It was a truly memorable moment and a wonderful recognition of my journey with The Art Pitcher.

About this collection

It’s been a four-year shift from corporate analysis to full-time painting, and I’ve learned that the best art comes from total immersion. I don't just deliver a painting; I manage everything from the initial site assessment and wall preparation to the final varnish. If you are considering a custom mural, know that I handle the entire process—including the often messy on-site execution—so you get a space that finally feels like yours.

Building The Art Pitcher has been less about following a dream and more about the daily grit of being an artist. When I quit my job four years ago, I didn't know if I would survive the first year, let alone end up painting murals in cities across India.

My practice is defined by textures and stories. Whether I’m sculpting high-relief botanical murals on a living room wall or creating custom 3D textured canvases for a bedroom, my goal is to create something you can actually touch. I work with clay, heavy-body acrylics, and mixed media to build depth.

If you are planning an on-site mural, we start with a site visit—I need to see the wall, the light, and the flow of the room before I can suggest a design. For those who want something movable, I create custom canvas panels in my studio that can be shipped directly to you.

I believe art should change how a room feels. It isn’t just about covering a blank wall; it’s about adding a layer of personality. My work often draws on Indian heritage, like traditional Pichwai techniques, blended with modern, abstract sensibilities. I am currently working on murals for both residential homes and commercial cafes, balancing large-scale projects with smaller, intimate canvas commissions. If you have an idea, let's talk about how we can make it happen.

I’m Aanchal, the person behind The Art Pitcher. I traded my corporate desk for a life of scaffolding, studio dust, and constant creativity. Every project I take on is a piece of my evolution, and I love collaborating with people who want more than just wall decor—they want a transformation.
