Custom Pet and Companion Portraits
There is something truly special about the bond we share with our animals. I capture those memories in acrylics, turning your favorite pet photos into permanent, heartfelt portraits.
There is nothing quite like the warm, positive energy of being next to a cat. This painting captures a quiet moment with a black cat on a rainy evening, looking out from a balcony. It’s a piece from my collection that reflects the comfort and companionship our feline friends bring into our lives.
A little wave from a fluffy friend to start the year with a smile. This miniature painting of a baby panda on a small canvas was a joyful exercise in capturing cuteness and innocence. It’s a perfect example of a small, custom piece that can bring a lot of happiness to any space.
About this collection
Before I pick up the brush, we will start with a basic layout sketch to ensure we are on the same page. I use fine-grain canvas for these portraits specifically because it helps me capture the finer details in the eyes and fur texture. It is a 2-3 week process to ensure the layering and drying are perfect, and I finish every piece with a protective varnish so the memory stays vibrant for years.
Whether it is a vibrant portrait of your current companion or a tribute to a friend who has passed, I approach every commission with the same care I would give my own.
My Approach to Your Portrait
We will chat about the mood you want to set. Do you want a sunny background to match their energy, or perhaps a starry night for a peaceful vibe? We can align on a style, choosing between a modern stylized/faceless look or a traditional, detailed likeness.
Why Fine-Grain Canvas
I work exclusively on fine-grain canvas for portraits. It allows for smoother fur texture and clearer expressions compared to standard textures. Every piece receives a protective varnish to prevent yellowing and dust damage, ensuring your painting lasts.
Art with a Purpose
Art is my therapy, and it gives me immense joy to share that. Importantly, a portion of the proceeds from every portrait goes directly toward the treatment of injured street animals. When you commission a piece, you are not just decorating your home; you are helping me provide care for animals in need.
