About this collection
Finding a dhoti that stays put during the long rituals is a common struggle, so I build these with a pre-pleated, stitched construction tailored to your height for a secure, fuss-free drape. Whether you want a heavy royal look with zardosi or something minimal and elegant, I ensure the fit feels effortless, not restrictive.
The Muhurtam ceremony is a highlight of the wedding, and your outfit should feel like a second skin, not a costume. At my Vijayanagar studio, I focus on the 'fall and feel' of the garment as much as the look. We start with the base—using pure Karnataka or Mysore silk—and build internal structure into the jubba (kurta) using canvas and felts, so the collar stays crisp and the shoulders sit perfectly even after hours of rituals.
We also handle the coordination with your bride's saree. If she has a specific zari or color palette, I pull those details into your shalya (shawl) or collar work. I use techniques like Aari and Zardosi, or even subtle hand-painted motifs if you want something different. The pre-pleated dhoti is a game changer for grooms who want to look traditional without the hassle of wrapping. We usually need 1 to 2 fitting sessions to get the waist and length perfect. If you are not in Bengaluru, I can guide you through the measurements remotely.
