Building a Strong Foundation Through Gentle Yoga
You don't need to be flexible to start. Let's build your practice from the ground up, one breath at a time, in a space that feels like home.
The Goddess Pose is fantastic for building lower body strength and opening the hips. In my classes, we hold postures like this to cultivate stability and find power in stillness, all while connecting to our breath.
About this collection
You know, before we even worry about touching our toes, we really need to get the basics down. Whether we are at the studio or on Zoom, I am constantly looking at your alignment—making sure you aren't straining—and using props to help you feel stable. It is not about being perfect, it is about making sure your body feels strong so you can actually enjoy the flow.
When I say building a foundation, I mean actually understanding what your body needs. In my classes, we do not do those crazy pretzel poses that look good on camera but hurt your back later. We stick to the basics, like Classical Surya Namaskara, Plank, and Downward-Facing Dog, because those are the moves that actually build real, lasting strength.
If you are in Bengaluru, banni (come) and join me at my Indiranagar or Koramangala studios. We get into Hatha and Vinyasa flow, and I am right there to help with hands-on adjustments. If you are stressed or just need a reset, the focus here is always on that balance between strength and breath.
What you can expect:
- Small batches: Whether online or offline, I keep groups manageable so I can see everyone's form.
- No pressure: Seriously, do not worry about being flexible enough. We go at your pace.
- Music and Flow: I play Indian classical or Sitar music because it helps you stay in the zone.
- Community: You practice alongside a great group of people who are also just looking to feel a bit lighter.
I am really big on mental clarity too. We often count breaths in Sanskrit, which gives it that nice, traditional touch, but I promise it is still fun. If you are looking for a sign to start, this is it. Let's just show up and see what happens. Okay I also love you!
Pavna
I'm Pavna. I used to be a total nerd with all the gold medals, but now I’m just here trying to find a bit of peace on the mat. Whether we are meeting in Indiranagar or hopping on a Zoom call, I promise we will keep it real and aaramaagi (chilled out). Come join me, let us breathe and maybe laugh at how awkward we feel!
