The Anatomy of a Standalone Piece

My standalone artworks often start as an internal conversation. Unlike commissioned pieces where I map a client’s narrative, these works are where I push the limits of my medium. I predominantly work with upcycled paper pulp, which I mix, mold, and layer over days. This process allows the piece to breathe and grow, resulting in the heavy, textured relief that defines my signature style.

Notable Pieces

• The Flight of Knowledge: Measuring 36x36 inches, this piece uses an open-book form to represent the journey of learning. Each fold is a chapter of lived experience.
• The Enchanted Abyss: A 60-inch oval sculpture that transitions from deep, dark textures into a smooth, golden expanse. It represents the movement from fear into clarity, mirroring my personal experience with the ocean.

From Experiment to Commission

While these pieces are personal expressions, they form the foundation of my bespoke commission process. When you request a custom work, we start with a virtual consultation to map your story to these textures. For statement pieces, I produce 12x12 inch physical samples so you can see the relief depth before we commit to a large-scale project. Once the design is finalized, professional studio production takes 4 to 6 weeks, culminating in a piece delivered with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and professional crating for safe transport.
