About this collection
If you are worried about not having one perfect photo together, do not be. I often merge separate pictures into one cohesive portrait, capturing your chemistry even if you were not standing side-by-side in the original. It takes 20 to 35+ hours of work to get the shading, traditional attire patterns, and expressions just right on A3 or A2 paper.
Creating a couple’s portrait is more than just drawing faces; it is about preserving a specific feeling. When I work on a couple’s piece, I look closely at the texture of the saree, the way you are holding hands, or even the small details in jewelry that make the memory real.
My Process
I use high-quality Staedtler graphite and Camlin charcoal to build depth and tone. For larger A2 family or couple sketches, I work on thick 300gsm Ivory or 270gsm Strathmore paper to ensure the piece lasts a lifetime. The process begins with your reference photos. If you have two different images—maybe one where you look great and one where your partner does—I can combine them. I focus heavily on blending skin tones and using Mono Zero erasers for highlights like hair strands and eye reflections.
Gifting and Logistics
Many of these portraits are surprise wedding or anniversary gifts. I understand the anxiety around special dates, so I include secure, hard-shell packaging and premium framing (black or wood-finish) to ensure the portrait arrives ready to hang. If you are in Bengaluru, we can coordinate the delivery; if you are elsewhere in India, I ship securely across the country.
