About Couple Portraits for Anniversaries & Gifts
Choosing the right photo is half the magic. If you have separate shots of you and your partner, I can merge them into one seamless composition using my grid method, ensuring perfect proportions and a natural look before the final shading begins.
My Process
I work primarily with graphite and charcoal pencils on high-quality 210+ GSM Ivory sheets. Because I focus on realism, I use a grid method to map out the proportions before I start shading. This ensures that the likeness stays true to your original photo.
What You Get
- A4 or A3 Size: Depending on your preference and the level of detail you want, I offer sizes that fit standard frames. Note that I deliver the artwork as a loose sheet, safely rolled in a rigid PVC pipe, so you can choose a frame that matches your home decor.
- Merging Photos: You do not need a perfect photo of you and your partner together. I am happy to combine two separate photos into one cohesive portrait, adjusting the composition so the interaction looks natural.
- Detailing: From the texture of your clothing to jewelry and hair, I spend hours building up layers to capture the subtle details that make the portrait feel real.
Ordering for Gifts
If this is for an anniversary or a surprise gift, please keep in mind that I need clear reference photos to get the best results. The more detailed the reference, the better the output. I include one round of minor touch-ups before applying the final matte fixative spray, which protects the drawing from smudging or fading over time.
