Pregnancy Classes for Partners & Family
Pregnancy isn't just one person's job. When partners and grandmothers learn together, they build a circle of support that makes the whole journey calmer, stronger, and much more connected.
These men are the change our sons need to see. In our couples session, they learn how to support their partners physically and emotionally through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Our offline couple's session is about more than just learning; it's about connection. We invite fathers to learn practical skills for labor support and newborn care, empowering them to be active partners.
Nature chose dads too. A father's love and presence are just as important for a baby's development. Parenting is a team effort, not just a mom's job.
Our grandmother session in Tiruppur was a beautiful shared memory. It's incredible to see mothers and mothers-in-law show up to learn how they can best support the expecting mom.
It was heartwarming to see so many grandmothers eager to learn and unlearn at our offline session in Coimbatore. Motherhood is a journey best walked hand-in-hand with family.
It was amazing to see these grandmothers attending our class to get on the same page as their daughters. They left feeling confident to help with newborn care, breaking the myth that you need to hire outside help.
About A Team Effort: Involving Partners & Family
In our couple and grandmother sessions, we move past theory. Husbands learn specific counter-pressure massage techniques and newborn care like diapering, while grandmothers work on unlearning outdated myths so they can truly support you. We get everyone on the same page, building a circle of strength that makes the whole pregnancy and postpartum journey feel manageable and calm.
I have spent over 12 years watching families navigate the stress of birth, and I’ve learned that the outcome is always better when the support system is informed. Often, the mother is the only one preparing, while the husband and grandparents feel like outsiders waiting for instructions.
Why Involve the Family?
My sessions aren't just about 'being there.' They are about active participation. In my Dad's Bootcamp, husbands learn the physical reality of labor support—how to use counter-pressure to ease your back pain, how to time contractions, and how to hold the baby without fear. When a partner knows the 'why' behind a decision, they stop being anxious and start being the calm presence you need.
The Grandmother’s Circle
One of the most common points of friction is the generational gap. Grandmothers often hold on to older practices that might conflict with modern medical advice. In our specialized sessions in Tirupur and Coimbatore, we don't judge or dismiss these traditions. Instead, we have open conversations. Grandmothers learn to let go of the pressure to hire outside help, gaining the confidence to handle massage, swaddling, and baby care themselves. This creates a bond that lasts long after the birth.
Whether you are joining us offline at Vriksham Ant Hill or the Women’s Centre, the goal is simple: to remove the fear of the unknown. When your family unit knows what to expect, the birth experience becomes a shared triumph rather than a source of stress.
