Coordinated Couple and Family Outfits

I believe a family looks most beautiful when they look connected. Whether it is matching a groom's sash to a bride's lehenga, or designing a complete theme for the whole family, I love crafting these shared stories.

A beautiful moment between Dr. Tushara and her partner. I designed his elegant mauve Indo-Western sherwani to subtly complement the delicate embroidery on her custom half-saree, creating a harmonious look for their event.

Anupa and Abhishek at their engagement, looking serene in pastel shades. I designed his simple white kurta with a matching pastel blue Nehru vest to coordinate with her stunning mint green and silver lehenga.

A family that shines together. I designed this coordinated set in black and gold, featuring a custom saree-gown for the mother and a sharp Jodhpuri suit for the father with matching gold embroidery. The little one looks like a prince in his mini version of the suit.

A beautiful couple portrait. The groom's custom pink brocade Nehru jacket was designed to perfectly match the bride's stunning pink Kanjivaram saree, creating a classic and coordinated reception look.

A stunning reception look for Deepika and her husband. I designed his black tuxedo with intricate gold embroidery on the lapels and bow tie, which beautifully complements the heavy gold work on her custom wedding saree blouse.

A portrait of elegance. For this couple, I designed a classic ivory sherwani for the groom, featuring subtle embroidery that pairs wonderfully with the bride's traditional silk saree. It's a timeless look for a wedding day.

Fun and festive for a Mehendi night. I created these playful, coordinated outfits using a unique printed fabric. Her crop top and skirt with a matching jacket pairs perfectly with his custom kurta and vest.

About this collection

When I work on couple ensembles, the magic happens in the fabric swatches, not just the sketches. I focus on how the groom’s sherwani texture plays against the bride’s silk weave, balancing the weight of a brocade Nehru jacket with the delicate zari on a Kanjivaram saree. We check these combinations in natural light to ensure the coordination feels natural and elegant, never forced or like a costume. It is about understanding the fabric and making sure both of you shine equally.

Creating coordinated looks is one of my favorite parts of running Anthariya. It is not just about picking two colors that look nice together. It is about the design journey.

Why Coordination Matters

Your photos last a lifetime. When a couple or family wears outfits that share a design language—whether it is a common embroidery motif, a matching fabric border, or a subtle color palette—the entire visual presence of your event feels tighter and more intentional. I see families who come in wanting to match exactly, and I see others who want to complement each other. I am here for both.

How We Work Together

  • Design Discussion: We start by talking about the event venue and time. Is it a daylight Haldi ceremony or a grand evening reception? This changes how we approach colors.
  • Fabric Selection: We sit down with physical swatches. We look at how different silks, cottons, and brocades behave under event lighting.
  • The Details: For a father-son set, I focus on the tailoring so the child is comfortable while looking like a mini-version of his father. For couples, we might use the exact same silk for the groom's pocket square that is used in the bride's blouse embroidery.

Common Requests We Handle

  • Couple Sets: Matching sherwanis or kurtas to lehengas, half-sarees, or designer gowns.
  • Family Themes: Coordinated ethnic wear for parents and kids for weddings, muhurthams, or festival celebrations.
  • Subtle Styling: If you do not want to 'match', we can focus on 'complementing'—using harmonious color palettes that look great in photographs without being identical.

Every piece is hand-crafted in my studio in Naagarabhaavi. We do not mass produce anything. We take the time to get the fittings right so you feel confident and comfortable, not just dressed up.
