Custom Block Printed Textiles for Fashion Brands
From custom-carved teak blocks to final garment prints, I help designers create unique, handmade textile collections with a story.
I was thrilled to collaborate with a fashion brand in Milan on their spring summer collection. We developed this Mughal inspired poppy flower design and printed it on organic cotton for a line of dresses and separates, bringing a touch of Indian heritage to Italian style.
This three color floral pattern was one of my favorite projects. We printed it in reverse order, starting with the background color and finishing with the outline. The final result is a stunning, intricate design on a beautiful saree.
This Nandi bull design, a symbol of power and resilience, was custom printed for a client's saree. The bold, graphic nature of the bull motif against the vibrant pink fabric creates a powerful statement piece that is rich with cultural meaning.
From block to a beautiful finished garment. This video shows the process of creating a collection of organic cotton pants for a brand. You can see the custom block, the printing process, and the final product worn by a model.
Block printing is for everyone. I had so much fun creating this custom Eiffel Tower print for a client's menswear collection. It is a great example of how we can take a modern, graphic idea and bring it to life with a traditional craft.
About Bespoke Fashion & Apparel
Every collection begins with a conversation about your design vision. Whether you need a specific Mughal motif carved onto seasoned teak or a multi-layered color registration on delicate Chanderi silk, I manage the entire process in my Bengaluru studio. We start with a test run to ensure the print and pigment are exactly right before moving to the final yardage.
Block printing is a dialogue between the artisan and the fabric. I do not just print, I translate your digital vectors into hand-carved wooden blocks. My team uses seasoned teak wood and traditional chipping methods to ensure sharp definition for every design.
Whether you are launching a clothing line or upcycling existing pieces, I focus on the technical details that matter for small-batch production. This includes pre-washing fabric for shrinkage control, mixing certified organic, azo-free pigments, and ensuring precise registration for multi-color layered designs.
I have worked with diverse clients, from Milan-based fashion houses to local boutiques, handling delicate fabrics like Chanderi silk, Maheshwari, and Organza. If you have a brand identity that values slow, sustainable work and the beauty of handmade quirks, I would love to help you bring it to life.
