Don't let your mother's beautiful sarees gather dust in the cupboard. I specialize in adding fresh block prints to vintage silks, turning those sentimental pieces into vibrant outfits you will actually want to wear.

This is my favorite kind of transformation. We took a plain Kanjeevaram saree and, using a small floral block print, turned it into this rich, custom-designed piece for a very happy client.

The final result. Our client Sowmya is glowing in her revamped Kanjeevaram saree. The custom block printing adds a look of gold zari buttas, making the saree even more special.

A behind-the-scenes look at my craft. I find so much joy in creating these artistic details. Here, a simple chevron block print is being hand-stamped onto silk fabric, adding a unique, graphic touch.

The beauty of handcrafted details. This video shows the meticulous process of block printing an intricate floral border onto a deep blue fabric, a technique that brings so much life to the material.

A finished piece showcasing the elegance of hand block printing. This green saree features beautiful paisley and floral motifs, all carefully printed by hand to create a truly artistic garment.

Here is a contemporary take on a traditional Kanjeevaram. I used block printing to give this old saree a completely new look, pairing it with a modern full-sleeve blouse for a fresh style.

About this collection

I put every revamped saree through a careful heat-setting process to cure the pigments. This ensures the block prints remain crisp and vibrant, allowing your restored Kanjeevaram to withstand frequent wear while keeping the design looking as fresh as the day it was finished.

There is a unique joy in taking a saree with a history—perhaps one passed down from your mother or grandmother—and giving it a second life. My studio in Namma Bengaluru is where these transformations happen.

The Transformation Process

It starts with a conversation about what you want to achieve. Whether you are looking to hide a worn-out patch on the pallu or simply want to update a plain silk saree with a contemporary feel, I use hand-stamped blocks to create a new narrative on the fabric. I offer a variety of motifs, from delicate floral patterns to bold paisley designs, each stamped by hand across the length of the saree.

Why Revamp Instead of Replace?

  • Preserve Memories: Keep the sentimental value of your family heritage without feeling stuck with a dated look.
  • Modern Comfort: We can add modern styling touches, like a fresh blouse cut or decorative tassels, to ensure the garment fits current trends.
  • Sustainable Fashion: Repurposing high-quality silk is the most eco-friendly way to refresh your wardrobe.

Caring for Your Revamped Saree

Once the block printing is complete, I finish the edges and replace facing cloth if necessary. Because I use a permanent heat-set method, these sarees are durable. To keep them looking lovely, I always recommend dry cleaning to preserve the integrity of the silk and the pigments. If you have a specific festival or occasion in mind, share it with me early so we can discuss the best motif placement to complement your jewellery and styling preferences. Maja ide to see the final result when you finally drape it.
