Meet the Artist Behind the Blocks
I believe art is an experience you can touch and feel. My work is about slowing down, bringing people together, and celebrating the history held within every hand-carved wooden block.
What does a story look like in your hands? For me, it looks like this hand carved block. Each block I hold tells a story of history, craft, and human touch. My passion is sharing that story with you, so you can create your own.
I started Amoha Prints with a simple mission: to make art an experience you can hold in your hands. Whether I am guiding a workshop or designing a new print, my goal is to help you create something meaningful that tells a story. This craft is my way of sharing joy and connection.
My purpose is to add a pop of color and connection to life. I founded Amoha Prints to create joyful, hands on moments where people can make something beautiful and carry home a meaningful memory. It is about the experience as much as the art itself.
I am proud to say that Amoha Prints is a one stop shop for all your block printing needs. This video gives a quick look at everything I offer, from custom printing services and ready made sarees to DIY kits and online workshops. We handle everything in house to guarantee quality.
The grooves in this block carry the rhythm of someone else's hands. When you hold it, you are touching a piece of history. This photo of a workshop participant holding one of my blocks captures the moment of connection between the artisan, the tool, and the creator.
To hold a block is to hold time. This simple wooden tool connects us to a craft that has been practiced for centuries. Here, I am holding a tree of life block, a powerful symbol of growth and connection that I love to share through my work.
What you hold in your hands is not fragile; it is living. This ginkgo leaf block, a symbol of resilience and longevity, feels alive with the stories of the artisans who carved it and the many prints it will create. It is an honor to continue its journey.
These are not just tools. They are the pause between art and touch. Each hand carved block is a bridge connecting an ancient craft to your creative hands. I love collecting and sharing these beautiful pieces of functional art.
About Meet the Founder
Every hand-carved teak block in my collection is chosen for its character, not its symmetry. When you look at my work, you will see natural variations in ink density and alignment because I print entirely by hand, without the help of machines. If you are looking for a workshop experience or custom textiles, reach out to me, but please know that you are signing up for the beautiful, authentic imperfections of true artisan craft.
At Amoha Prints, I don’t just offer services, I share a living tradition. When you see me in these photos, you are seeing the result of hours spent carving teak wood, mixing skin-safe acrylics, and testing ink consistency. This is not factory production. It is a slow, methodical process that starts with a single block and ends with a unique piece of art.
Whether I am conducting a workshop in Bengaluru or printing a custom batch of canvas pouches, my focus remains the same: ensuring the rhythm of the craft is preserved. I want you to understand that block printing is about the pause between the stamp and the fabric. It is in that space where the human touch happens. If you are interested in booking a session for your event, or if you want to pick up a DIY kit to start your own printing practice at home, I am here to help you get started. Every piece I make or teach is designed to connect you to this ancient art form, reminding us all that beauty often lies in what isn't perfectly straight. I welcome you to reach out and learn more about how we can make your next celebration or project a bit more tactile and personal.
