About this collection
Preparing for a competition or a university audition requires more than just memorizing steps; it demands precision in every mudra and clarity in every foot strike. My students don't just perform; they compete with technical rigour—focusing on Araimandi, stamina, and Abhinaya—which is exactly why they consistently place at festivals in Delhi, Banaras, and Pune.
Success on stage is never accidental. It starts in our studio in Noida, where we break down complex pieces into manageable practice drills. Whether we are preparing for a rigorous classical Margam or a high-energy folklore act, we focus heavily on technical foundation—correcting posture and refining facial expressions until they become second nature.
I often tease my students, calling them my 'Angry birds' when they are deep in concentration, but that intensity is what helps them secure top positions at festivals like Nritya Jhalak.
What we focus on for your success:
- Technical Foundation: We don't skip the basics. Strength and flexibility drills are non-negotiable, ensuring students can hold formations and execute complex footwork without tiring.
- Abhinaya Training: For competitive acts, storytelling is often the differentiator. I train students to channel real emotion through their eyes and gestures, making the performance connect with judges.
- Stage Presence: We work on spatial awareness, entry and exit cues, and how to hold the audience's attention from the first beat to the final bow.
From helping students secure near-perfect scores for college admissions through the ECA quota to conducting live orchestras at Arangetrams, my goal is to guide you through the process, not just teach the routine. If you are aiming for a competition or a major performance, let's look at your goals and build a routine that highlights your unique strengths.
