Success on stage is never accidental. It starts in our studio in Noida, where we break down complex pieces into manageable practice drills. Whether we are preparing for a rigorous classical Margam or a high-energy folklore act, we focus heavily on technical foundation—correcting posture and refining facial expressions until they become second nature.

I often tease my students, calling them my 'Angry birds' when they are deep in concentration, but that intensity is what helps them secure top positions at festivals like Nritya Jhalak.

• Technical Foundation: We don't skip the basics. Strength and flexibility drills are non-negotiable, ensuring students can hold formations and execute complex footwork without tiring.
• Abhinaya Training: For competitive acts, storytelling is often the differentiator. I train students to channel real emotion through their eyes and gestures, making the performance connect with judges.
• Stage Presence: We work on spatial awareness, entry and exit cues, and how to hold the audience's attention from the first beat to the final bow.
