Custom Portraits and Spiritual Leader Sketches
Whether you want to honor a spiritual guru or capture a loved one in a detailed hand-drawn portrait, I translate your photos into art that feels personal and alive.

This A2 size sketch is a mix of color pencil and graphite, commissioned by a client in Gujarat. It shows how I can blend different mediums to create a unique portrait from a photo.
A realistic charcoal portrait of a spiritual guru, commissioned for a client in New Delhi. This A3 size sketch captures his warm and welcoming expression in fine detail.
About this collection
When you commission a portrait, the most critical step is choosing the right reference photo. Since I work with graphite, charcoal, or color pencils, I need a high-resolution image where facial features and expressions are clearly visible. The quality of your input photo directly dictates the level of detail I can achieve in the final sketch, especially regarding skin textures and the character of the subject.
My Approach to Custom Portraits
I treat every portrait as a tribute. Whether you are looking for a realistic charcoal sketch of a spiritual leader or a vibrant color pencil portrait of a family member, my goal is to capture more than just a likeness. It is about the 'sukoon' (peace) in their expression and the energy they carry.
Choosing Your Medium
- Graphite & Charcoal: These are best for a timeless, classic look. I use 200gsm ivory paper and apply a matte fixative to ensure the charcoal stays smudge-free. This medium is perfect for capturing intense, moody expressions.
- Polychrome Color Pencils: For a lively, realistic finish, I use professional-grade wax-based pencils. Through a burnishing technique, I layer the colors until the paper grain disappears, creating a smooth, paint-like appearance. This is great for colorful traditional attire or vibrant portraits.
Size and Framing
I typically work on A4, A3, or A2 sizes depending on how much detail you want. If you are gifting the piece, I can arrange for a 1-inch synthetic wood frame with a glass front, so the portrait is ready to display the moment it reaches you. Everything is safely packed for shipping across India.
How to Order
Send me your high-quality photograph and let me know your preferred medium. Once we confirm the details, I share an update during the outlining phase so you can see the progress of the sketch before I finalize the details.
