Spiritual and Divine Pencil Portraits
I create detailed, hand-drawn portraits of deities and spiritual figures using graphite and charcoal. Each piece is a slow, meditative process meant to bring peace and presence to your home.

About Spiritual & Divine Art
Drawing spiritual figures requires a different kind of patience. I spend upwards of 40 hours on these pieces, focusing heavily on the eyes and expressions to capture that sense of calm. Because I work with charcoal and graphite, the final result needs care, which is why I protect every piece with a matte fixative spray before packing it safely in a hard PVC tube for shipping.
When I take on a commission for a divine portrait, I approach it differently than a standard sketch. It is less about just getting the likeness right and more about capturing a specific state of mind. Whether I am sketching Lord Hanuman or a figure close to your heart, I use a combination of 2B to 10B graphite pencils and compressed charcoal to get those deep, rich blacks.
I start every piece with a grid to ensure the proportions are perfect. From there, I work from the eyes outwards, as I believe the eyes carry the entire expression. If you look at the progress shots in my gallery, you will see the level of shading required to get the texture of jewelry or the softness of a beard right.
These pieces are created on high-quality 200 GSM paper. Since charcoal can smudge easily, every portrait is finished with a professional matte fixative spray. This keeps the art safe during transit across India. I roll each piece in a heavy-duty PVC pipe to ensure it reaches you without a single crease. If you have a specific reference image in mind, feel free to share it. The clearer the photo, the better I can capture the details that matter to you.
