Architecture and Design Philosophy

I approach design as both a science and a creative discipline. With a Master’s in Habitat Design, my work focuses on creating spaces that are functional, sustainable, and grounded in architectural principles.

In this "AK Talks" episode, I break down the fundamentals, explaining the difference between the study of architecture and the role of an architect. My goal is to demystify the design world for my clients.

I was deeply honored to be conferred with a Master’s degree in Architecture (Habitat Design) by esteemed architect Jaisim and the Head of Department at BMSCA, Mamatha Ma'am. This academic foundation is central to my work.

It was a privilege to design a residential space for the esteemed Sandalwood luminary, Sudharani ma'am. This photo was taken during a pleasant visit three years after the project's completion.

Another cherished memory with Sudharani ma'am and her family at the home I designed for them. Building lasting relationships with my clients is one of the most gratifying parts of my work.

I was thrilled to be featured in Surfaces Reporter magazine. This collage from the publication showcases moments from the awards event and highlights my contribution to the field of design.

About this collection

When you hire me, you are not just getting an interior designer; you are getting an architect who approaches your home like a structural puzzle. Whether we are discussing Vastu compliance for your kitchen layout or selecting the right material for high-traffic zones, I provide the technical reasoning behind every decision so you understand exactly how your space will function for years to come.

My Design Philosophy

My design work is rooted in my Master’s in Habitat Design from BMS College of Architecture. I do not look at a room as just a set of walls; I see it as a functional environment that needs to support your daily life. This architectural training influences everything I do, from initial space planning to final execution.

Why Architecture is a Science

Architecture is often treated as purely aesthetic, but I believe it is a science. When I work on your project, we start with the fundamentals—zoning, sunlight orientation, and ventilation. If we are applying Vastu principles, it is not about superstition. It is about practical physics: placing your kitchen in the southeast to capture the best morning light or orienting your bedroom for optimal airflow and peace.

Industry Recognition and Commitment

My commitment to the field has been recognized by publications like Surfaces Reporter, which highlights my ongoing research and design contributions. Having worked on projects ranging from private residences for esteemed clients to commercial spaces, I bring the same rigor to every site.

The Process

I stay involved from the first sketch to the final handover. This means I personally supervise material selection and site work, ensuring that the 3D visualizations we discuss at the start translate accurately into your home. If you want a space that is efficient and logically planned, let us discuss how to build it right.
