My Credentials and Design Process
Architecture is a science of space, light, and function. Here is a look at my background, my philosophy on design, and how I guide you from the initial concept to the day you hold the keys.
In my "AK Talks" series, I break down architectural concepts. Here, I explain the fundamental difference between the field of architecture and the role of an architect, helping clients understand the value I bring to their projects.
A proud moment on my graduation day, where I was conferred with a Master’s degree in Architecture with a specialization in Habitat Design. My education is the foundation of my technical and design expertise.

About this collection
When you work with me, you don’t just get a set of drawings; you get a partner for the entire journey. I personally oversee material selection—like hand-picking tiles and laminates at showrooms—and I am on-site to ensure the construction matches the 3D model we finalized together. My goal is to keep the stress off your plate by serving as your single point of contact from the initial zoning and planning all the way to the final site handover.
My Architectural Philosophy
My approach is rooted in my Master’s degree in Habitat Design. I view architecture as a rigorous study of how buildings should function. Whether it is a residential home or a commercial retail space, I focus on the science of design rather than just aesthetics.
The Science of Vastu
I treat Vastu as a practical science, not a superstition. My designs prioritize:
- Sunlight & Ventilation: Orienting spaces like the kitchen in the southeast to capture beneficial east light, and ensuring living areas receive ample daylight throughout the day.
- Zoning: Creating layouts that enhance the natural flow of movement and air within your home.
My Process: From Sketch to Finish
I manage the entire lifecycle of your project so you don't have to juggle multiple vendors.
- Concept & Proposal: We start with your ideas, which I translate into structured design proposals.
- Visualization: Before a brick is laid, you will see your space through 3D models and architectural walkthroughs.
- Material Curation: I guide you through the selection process, whether we are looking for teak wood, granite, or specific sanitary fixtures.
- On-site Supervision: I am physically present at the site, working alongside engineers and contractors to ensure the build remains true to our original design.
Industry Recognition
My commitment to the field has been recognized by industry leaders, including features in Surfaces Reporter and mentorship from renowned architects like Jaisim. These milestones are not just accolades; they reflect a consistent, evolving practice dedicated to creating spaces that make a real difference in people's lives.
