Real stories from beautiful souls who have walked the path of healing, release, and connection with us.

Listen to Alex share his experience from our Sri Lanka retreat. He talks about how the motto was relaxation from the moment he arrived, and how the connection with nature helped him completely disconnect from city life.

Shivan speaks about his journey in Sri Lanka, highlighting the perfect balance between high-energy Kundalini practice and calming Ayurvedic procedures like Shirodhara massage. This is the balance we seek to create.

A participant shares her experience in Bhutan, noting how the retreat blended spiritual wellness with cultural immersion, adding immense value. Her words, "I'll go with you wherever you're going next," touch my heart.

Archana shares her experience of her first Kundalini retreat in Al-Ula. She speaks of the "onslaught of emotions" and the necessary reset it provided, allowing her to release pent-up feelings and surrender to a greater power.

Two participants from our Kerala retreat share how the experience was much more than they expected. One felt the morning session was "divine," while another speaks of laughter and relaxation.

Neha shares her experience from her first-ever retreat with us in Kerala. She describes it as "very soul-searching" with many revelations that came to her through divine power.

About Voices from Our Sangat

What you see in these stories is rarely just about a trip to a beautiful location. It is about the permission to finally be yourself. Whether it is a deep emotional reset in Al-Ula or a quiet moment of stillness in the jungles of Sri Lanka, our Sangat members often arrive feeling scattered and leave feeling steady. These shared experiences of laughter, tears, and silence are the heartbeat of what we do, and they are the best evidence of the shift that happens when you simply stop running.

More Than Just a Retreat

When we gather as a Sangat, the location—whether it is the high-altitude serenity of Ladakh, the healing Ayurvedic centers in Kerala, or the vast desert landscapes of Al-Ula—is only the container. The real work happens in the spaces between the Kundalini kriyas and the sound healing sessions.

What Our Sangat Says

  • On Finding Balance: Many participants, like Shivan in Sri Lanka, come looking for a way to bridge the gap between high-energy living and inner peace. He found that blending the intensity of Kundalini breathwork with the grounding nature of Ayurvedic treatments created the perfect equilibrium for his daily life.
  • On Emotional Release: It is not always easy. Archana’s experience in Al-Ula highlights the 'onslaught of emotions' that can surface when you finally create the space to slow down. That raw, honest release is a necessary part of the journey. It is how you fill your cup so you can return to your life as a mother, partner, or friend with more presence.
  • On Connection: There is a unique power in a small group. Whether it is a first-timer like Neha finding divine revelations in Kerala or a seasoned traveler finding cultural depth in Bhutan, the feedback is consistent: you are not doing this alone. You are doing this with a group of people who are also looking for their own strength.

Why We Share

I share these voices because I know how intimidating it feels to sign up for a retreat when you are already feeling overwhelmed. You do not need to be an expert in yoga. You do not need to be perfect. You just need to show up as you are, and let the Sangat hold you while you find your own way back to center.

I’m Sukhmani, and I believe the greatest healing happens when we drop the need to be perfect and just show up. I created these spaces so you could feel safe enough to release the weight you have been carrying, share a meal, and remember what it feels like to just breathe.
