About Solo Portraits Gallery

This isn't ink, it's a monochrome painting made with your actual blood. Whether you visit my studio in Nelamangala or send the sample from anywhere in India, the process is completely sterile and safe. The painting starts as a deep crimson and matures into a permanent, classic sepia tone that lasts.

How the process works

I need a small, 2ml sample to get started. Don't worry about safety; I use sterile vials and professional phlebotomy standards, whether I’m drawing the sample myself or processing one you’ve couriered. If you aren't in Bangalore, I will personally guide you on how to package and send your sample so it arrives safely at my studio. This is a standard procedure I have handled for clients from Udupi to Chitradurga and beyond.

The unique 'Blood Art' look

The medium itself is what makes these portraits different. It’s not a synthetic stain; it’s a biological pigment. When I first apply it to the canvas, it appears as a bright reddish-brown. Over time, as the portrait dries and oxidizes, it settles into a deep, rich sepia-toned finish. This transition is completely natural, and it creates a depth and texture you simply cannot replicate with standard charcoal, graphite, or digital prints.

Quality and Framing

Every portrait comes framed and ready to hang. I use heavy-duty 180-200 GSM art paper that holds the pigment well. Depending on your preference, I offer A4 size for a clean, personal desk piece or an A3 size, which is better for a larger, detailed wall display. Your portrait is a permanent piece of art that is physically connected to you.
