The Medium
- Pigment: 100% Client Blood treated with EDTA anticoagulant to prevent clotting during the painting process.
- Color Profile: Realistic monochrome sketch. Note that the artwork matures from fresh crimson to a permanent sepia/rust tone due to natural oxidation.
Processing & Presentation
- Collection: Sterile in-studio phlebotomy (needle/syringe) or processing of courier-sent samples.
- Framing: Includes a standard synthetic frame with a dark textured finish and glass/acrylic front.
- Customization: Includes basic calligraphy for names, dates, or short messages.

I turn a piece of you into art—literally. I’m Ajay, and I paint portraits using your own blood. It’s personal, raw, and honestly, a little different. Each portrait is hand-painted from a photo you choose, with that unmistakable reddish-brown look you’ll only get from blood-based monochrome painting.
How It Works
- If you’re in or near Bangalore, you can swing by my Nelamangala studio. I’ll draw a small blood sample, all safe and sterile—gloves, clean vials, the works.
- Not in Bangalore? No problem. I guide you on how to send a 2ml blood sample from anywhere in India. I’ve done portraits for folks from Udupi, Chitradurga, and beyond.
Make It Yours
- You bring the idea—nimma idea na heli (tell me your idea)—and I’ll turn it into a custom blood art framing.
- Choose your photo, add a message (Kannada, English, whatever speaks to you). I’ve written everything from “Anna nige raktada kaanike” (a gift of blood for brother) to classic birthday wishes.
