Custom Portraits and Hand-Drawn Sketches
I help turn your ideas into art that captures personality, not just a likeness. Whether you prefer a classic charcoal study or a splash of color, I am here to create something personal for you.
A custom portrait I created using colored pencils. I focus on capturing the details and personality of the subject, making it a truly personal piece of art. If you're looking for a realistic portrait drawing, this is a great example.
This is a stylized portrait I drew with colored pencils. It's a great option if you want a more relaxed and artistic interpretation rather than a photorealistic drawing.
This is an example of a Fauvism-inspired portrait I painted. I love working with bold, expressive colors to create a piece that's full of energy and emotion, moving beyond a simple likeness to capture a feeling.
This piece was created using charcoal, a medium I use to create powerful, high-contrast images. It's perfect for emotional portraits and capturing deep shadows and light.
About Custom Portraits
Before I pick up a brush or pencil, the most important step is our conversation. You do not need to be an art expert to get a great result. Just share a clear, high-resolution photo and let me know if you are looking for a realistic look or something more stylized, as this helps me choose the right medium—charcoal for deep contrast or pencils for fine detail.
How We Work Together
Commissioning a portrait should be fun. I work in three main styles, each with its own character:
- Charcoal & Graphite: These are perfect if you want a classic, high-contrast look. I use A4 acid-free paper to ensure the detail stays sharp and the deep blacks of the charcoal pop.
- Colored Pencils & Pastels: If you want something vibrant, this is the way to go. I layer pigments to create depth, making it ideal for portraits where skin tones or fabric textures matter.
- Acrylic on Canvas: For something that lasts, I use canvas boards. These are great if you want a piece that you can display on an easel or frame for your wall.
The Process
I believe in transparency. Once you book, we discuss the subject and the vibe you want. I share a high-resolution photo preview of the artwork for your approval before I ever pack it up to send your way. This gives you a chance to see the progress and ensures you are happy with the direction before the final seal. I finish all paper work with a protective spray and wrap canvas pieces in multiple layers of bubble wrap so they arrive safely in Bengaluru and beyond.
