Retail Showroom Design: Immersive Veneer Boutique Interiors
A retail space should do more than just hold products; it should tell a story. We designed this 1500 sq. ft. veneer showroom in Jayanagar to be a tactile journey, where the materials themselves shape the architecture.
The interior of the boutique veneer showroom we designed in Bangalore. The space uses an earthy, moody palette with industrial elements like exposed track lighting and concrete floors to create a sophisticated backdrop for the wood products.
A key feature of the showroom is this suspended desk and artistic backdrop, both crafted from veneer. This sculptural installation demonstrates the material's versatility and creates a stunning focal point.

We created cozy nooks for client discussions, featuring comfortable leather seating and soft textiles. The slatted wooden screens provide a sense of privacy while maintaining the open feel of the showroom.

About Experiential Retail: The Veneer Boutique
The secret to this showroom is not the decor, it is how we used the product, veneers, to construct the space itself. Every shelf, sliding panel, and sculptural focal point was fabricated from the very materials being sold, allowing clients to experience the wood's texture and finish in a real-world application rather than just looking at samples.
In this 1500 sq. ft. showroom in Jayanagar, we wanted to move away from the sterile, rack-filled retail environment. Instead, we used the products, specifically veneers and wooden elements, as the primary architectural features. It is a concept that builds the interior out of the very items on sale.
We integrated custom-fabricated sliding panels and pivoting racks, allowing customers to physically engage with the veneers. Lighting was a priority; we used high-CRI track lighting to ensure every wood grain and finish was shown in its true color. The central island, with its lit drawers and glass top, serves as an interaction hub, grounding the space in function.
Working on this project required balancing an open floor layout with dedicated zones for deeper client conversations. By incorporating pockets of privacy and using sculptural installations like the back-lit veneer art piece, we created a sequence that guides visitors through the showroom naturally. Whether it is the climate-responsive facade or the custom wire-free workstations, we handle the entire process—design, material selection, and site construction—to ensure the final build matches the vision.
