Our Studio: A Cavern of Creation

My studio is my design philosophy brought to life. It is a cave-like sanctuary where I test every texture, light, and material before bringing it into your space.

Welcome to my studio. This walkthrough shows the unique, cave-like interior I designed to be a hub of inspiration, where architecture meets art and emotion.

My studio is not just a workspace but a versatile environment. It was a pleasure to host this fashion influencer and see her find inspiration in the architecture for her photoshoot.

Daily design discussions with my team. Our studio is designed for collaboration, with spaces that encourage the free flow of ideas and creativity.

Witness the complete transformation of our studio. We took a blank canvas and sculpted it into an organic, inspiring workspace that truly represents our brand.

From a simple sketch to a tangible reality. This short clip reveals the first look at our completed studio, a space born from imagination.

This was the initial concept for our studio, a den carved out of rock. It's amazing to see how close the final result is to this first spark of an idea.

The artist and the art. I believe in being hands-on with every detail, including creating custom art installations that give each project a unique soul.

About this collection

You are looking at a workspace I built to function as a living prototype. I used lime-wash plaster to mimic the organic feel of a cave, creating an acoustic and visual sanctuary where ideas are physically shaped rather than just sketched. When you visit to discuss your project, you aren't just walking into an office; you are stepping into a working model of the raw, tactile luxury I can build for your home or hospitality project.

Architecture is often kept behind a computer screen, but I believe in the 'touch of mud'. My studio serves as the testing ground for this belief.

Why the Cave Concept?

I wanted a space that felt like a sanctuary—a place where the noise of the city fades. The curved, mud-textured walls aren't just for aesthetics; they provide sound insulation and create a sense of compression and release that naturally calms the mind. This is the same Wabi-Sabi approach I use for cafes and homes, where we celebrate the beauty of imperfection and natural materials.

The Proving Ground

Every material you see here—the custom cane furniture, the stone-carved vanities, the specific lime-wash finish—is a detail I have refined over years of site visits. By building this studio, I ensure that when I suggest a specific finish or a custom light sculpture for your project, I already know how it ages, how it reflects light, and how it feels to touch.

Let’s Collaborate

My studio is designed for conversation. It is where my team and I sit with clients who quickly become family, sketching out plans on these very tables. If you are looking for an architect who gets their hands dirty and prioritizes how a space makes you feel, come by. Let's talk about your space.

I’m Akshay. I don't just design on a screen; I get my hands muddy to make sure the soul of a room feels right. Whether I am building a boutique cafe or your private sanctuary, I want the result to be a place where you feel that deep sense of sukh and sukoon.
