Classical Pilates and Mindful Movement in Bengaluru
Pilates isn't just exercise; it's a way to reconnect with your aatma, or soul. My practice is strictly classical—focused, precise, and demanding—designed to help you master control over your own body.
At Aatma Pilates Studio, we teach the Classical method, which centers on the six principles: Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath, and Flow.

Breathe in strength, exhale with precision. In Pilates, breathwork is essential for engaging the core, improving energy flow, and creating a balance between body and mind.

My mind before Pilates can be a whirlwind. But during my practice, everything slows down. It's my time to breathe, release stress, and find a wave of calm.

About Mindful Movement & Inspiration
If you are expecting a soft, relaxed session, be prepared to be surprised. Authentic classical Pilates is physically demanding. It requires deep concentration, precision, and sustained effort. When you book a session at my studio, you are not just exercising; you are learning how to use the equipment—like the Reformer or Wunda Chair—to develop functional strength and posture. Come prepared to work hard, because that is the only way to see real change.
My practice is built on the six core principles defined by Joseph Pilates: Centering, Concentration, Control, Precision, Breath, and Flow. When you step into the studio at the JW Marriott, we strip away the distractions to focus on these pillars.
The Classical Method
Unlike gym-based classes, I teach the pure, classical system. This involves a library of over 500 exercises across various apparatus. We don't just 'do moves'; we learn the 'why' behind each one.
- Centering: Engaging your deep core muscles, the powerhouse of your body.
- Precision: Performing each movement exactly as intended to maximize benefit and prevent injury.
- Breath: Using oxygenation to energize your muscles and clear your mind.
How We Train
I strictly offer 1-on-1 private sessions and duets. This is intentional. Because I am a teacher and not just an instructor, I need to see your body move to make adjustments in real-time. Whether you are coming to me to improve your golf swing, manage an injury, or fix your posture, the session will be modified for you. We use the Balanced Body CenterLine suite, which adheres to classical standards. If you are ready to stop mimicking and start understanding your body, let's get to work.
