Winning a medal at the Warriors Cup or the National Cultural Pythian Games doesn't happen overnight. It is the result of thousands of hours spent on the mat in Saket, perfecting footwork, timing, and reaction speed.

My approach to competition is simple: we train to win, but we value the process more. When students train for sparring (Kyorugi), they learn that a loss isn't a defeat. It is data. It shows us exactly where the gap is, whether in their kicking technique, their defensive posture, or their mental focus. We then go back to the training floor, use the heavy bags and tires, and drill until that weakness becomes a strength.

The Path from Beginner to Medalist

• Foundational Strength: Before any student touches a sparring partner, they build their core. We use battle ropes, tire drills, and calisthenics to ensure the body is ready for the impact of tournament play.
• Technical Precision: We focus heavily on Poomsae patterns and specific striking mechanics. A medal is rarely won by luck; it is won by the student who executes a clean axe kick or roundhouse with 100% precision under pressure.
• Mental Conditioning: I tell my students that the biggest opponent they face is their own doubt. We incorporate meditation and focus exercises into every session so that when they step onto the podium, they have the calm mind of a warrior.
