About Handmade Crochet & Macramé Products
Our Story & Why We Do This
I started Aamani's Crochet after leaving graphic design, naming it after my daughter. What began as my own way to unwind became a way for over 200 women across rural India to find work, community, and independence. Crochet is our virasat (heritage). Each piece has a story, every stitch is a woman's hard work and hope.
What You’ll Find Here
We mix old-school charm with today’s trends. You'll see:
- Apparel like party blouses, cocktail dresses, and those Instagrammable halter tops (yeah, even the retro piece on "The Archies")
- Summer and winter wear, from co-ord sets to granny square caps and fingerless gloves
- Macramé bags, statement jewellery, party potlis for that finishing touch
For the home, it’s all about artisanal crochet home decor: wall art, mirror frames, and festive stuff like quirky crochet Rakhis (raksha bandhan bands) and Diya holders.
Little ones? We make unique amigurumi toys from cotton yarn - soft, safe, and chewable animals or cartoon characters.
Custom Work & Materials
Got a wild idea? I love custom crochet gifts. We've turned logos into framed art, cats into beaded bags, even made a 3D Saraswati sculpture. If you can dream it, we’ll try to stitch it.
We only use premium, sustainable yarn products—cotton, silk, zari. Small flaws or colour changes? That’s khubsoorti (beauty) in handmade. No two will ever be the same, and that’s the point.
Every piece supports community women artisans through our Zariya project, making your purchase more than just a buy, it’s a boost for someone’s future.

My Story
Hey, we’re Aamani’s Crochet. Sriparna started this with her daughter, Aamani, teaching her the first stitch at age three. From graphic design to yarn, it’s been a wild ride! We’re not just making stuff; we’re building a space where rural women find strength and skill. Every piece comes from hands that know family and resilience. Even made a Maa Saraswati sculpture once! For us, every stitch is a little piece of our story.
