About Hand-Building & Painting Your Piece
When you are hand-building or painting, do not stress about making it look museum-perfect. We keep all the professional ceramic paints and sculpting tools on hand, so you just need to bring your imagination. Most people spend about an hour getting lost in the details, whether they are doodling on a mug or shaping a tiny Ganesha, and that is exactly the clay therapy vibe we love.
The Hands-On Creative Process
At our Malad studio, we believe that the finishing touches are what make a piece yours. Whether you are joining us for a hand-building session or a painting workshop, you are in control of the final look.
Hand-Building & Sculpting This is where you move away from the wheel. You can use pinching, coiling, or slab techniques to create organic shapes like cat-shaped planters, bowls, or figures. Don't worry about being a pro; we guide you through the structural basics so your creation doesn't collapse, but the artistic choices? Those are all yours.
Pottery Painting If you prefer working on pre-fired bisque items, we have a variety of mugs, vases, and kulhads ready for you. We provide professional ceramic paints, brushes, and varnish.
- Acrylic vs. Fired: For our painting sessions, we typically use professional-grade acrylics and varnish, which means your piece is ready to take home immediately. These are decorative and perfect for pens, dried flowers, or display.
- The Vibe: Think of it as a creative reset. We set up on our rooftop terrace, play some music, and let you paint until you're happy with your meowsterpiece.
Whether you are coming in for a date night or a solo creative escape, our goal is for you to walk out with something that makes you smile.
Pastel Mystery
We run Pastel Mystery as a rooftop creative escape in Malad. We’re not about strict lectures or perfection, just a space to get your hands dirty, listen to some music, and actually enjoy the process of making something from scratch.
