About Workshop Announcements & Tips
When you join us at our Malad rooftop, you don't need to bring a thing—not even experience. We keep our batches intentionally small, usually 6-10 people, so you actually get proper help with the wheel instead of just watching a demo. Whether you are coming for a date night or some solo time, just remember to wear comfortable clothes because the clay will get on you—that is the best part.
What to Expect
We believe pottery is about letting go, not making perfect, store-bought items. Whether you are signing up for a wheel-throwing session or a hand-building workshop, the goal is that 'Arre, yeh maine banaya?!' moment.
Our Studio Vibe: We are based in a pastel-filled studio in Malad West. It is a rooftop space, so you get sunset views, string lights, and a relaxed atmosphere that feels more like hanging out with friends than sitting through a lecture.
Workshop Options
- Wheel Throwing: Learn the basics of centering clay and pulling up walls. Perfect for making your first bowl or cup.
- Hand Building: Great for sculpting, Ganesha idols, or quirky cat pots.
- Bisque Painting: For those who want to skip the wheel and focus on color. Pick a pre-fired item and paint it with professional ceramic colors.
Tips for First-Timers
- Trim your nails: Long nails can make it tricky to work with clay on the wheel.
- Embrace the mess: You will get clay on your apron and hands. That is just evidence of your creativity.
- Be patient: Your first bowl might wobble. That is normal. The focus is on the process of clay therapy, not professional output.
Session Details
We run sessions on weekends at our Toutle Space studio. All materials, including clay, tools, and aprons, are included in your booking. If you choose to glaze your piece for a food-safe finish, it takes about 2-3 weeks to process, but you can also take home raw creations the same day.
Pastel Mystery
We started Pastel Mystery because making things with your hands feels magical. Our studio is more of a hangout than a classroom—just sunset views, good music, and a lot of clay. Come by for a session; you will leave with messy hands and a happy heart.
