Posture Correction and Back Pain Relief
Sitting for hours at a desk is taking a toll on your back and shoulders. I provide targeted exercises to correct your posture, strengthen the muscles that hold your spine, and relieve stiffness.
A hunched back, or kyphosis, is common in young people due to phone and laptop use. I am showing some basic stretching and strengthening exercises that can significantly improve posture if done daily.
For those with a stiff back from sitting all day, these simple warm-up exercises can provide a lot of relief. This sequence includes good mornings with a plate, spinal rolls, and planks.
About this collection
If you spend hours at a desk, your back muscles are likely tired and tight. This isn't about lifting heavier; it is about targeting the right ones—the rhomboids and trapezius—to pull your shoulders back and support your spine. I show you how to use simple movements like plate good mornings and spinal rolls to reset your posture daily, rather than just masking the pain.
Many people walk into my gym in Meda Agrahara with what they think is just a sore back. Often, it is actually kyphosis, or that dreaded hunchback posture, caused by constant phone and laptop use. My approach to pain relief is not about prescribing pills or complicated equipment. It is about fixing the movement patterns you repeat every single day.
Why Form Matters
I always say, sumne heavy weight hodi-bardu (don't just lift heavy weights for show). When your posture is already compromised, piling on heavy weights without checking your form will only lead to injury. My sessions focus on biomechanics. We start with a full assessment of your spinal alignment. Then, we use controlled, low-impact movements to strengthen the deep muscles around your shoulder blades and lower back.
Your Path to Relief
We typically incorporate several specific techniques:
- Plate Good Mornings: These help mobilize your posterior chain and strengthen your lower back.
- Spinal Rolls & Planks: These stabilize your core and help you regain a neutral spine.
- Trigger Point Therapy: For days when the stiffness is too much, I use hands-on therapy to release tight fascia.
This is not a generic workout plan. Whether you are struggling with a specific disc issue or just general stiffness from your office job on Hesaraghatta Road, I work with you to build a routine that actually sticks. You learn how to move, how to sit, and how to protect your back long-term.
Habit Fitness
I see so many young people walking in with a hunch, and it honestly doesn't need to be that way. I work with you to break those bad habits from laptop and phone use, replacing them with simple, effective moves you can actually do. My goal is to get you standing tall and pain-free, not just stronger.
