Fitness & Agility Training for Kho-Kho
Kho-Kho isn't just about the chase, it's about the conditioning behind it. We build your speed and stamina at our NTI Ground clay track using tried-and-tested agility drills.
Our training ground set up for an intense fitness session. We use hurdles and cones to design drills that improve players' agility, speed, and reaction time.
A female player focused on her footwork during a barefoot hurdle drill. Training on the dirt ground builds stronger ankles and better balance.
Another one of our dedicated girl players pushing through an agility drill. We believe consistent fitness training is the foundation of a great Kho-Kho player.
This is our tough sand track where we build champions. Running on sand is a challenging workout that develops powerful legs and incredible stamina for the game.
About this collection
You don't get Kho-Kho speed on a treadmill. Our training happens on a natural dirt court and sand track at NTI Ground, which is where real stamina is built. When you join, expect to spend the first 20 minutes on plyometric jumps and barefoot sprints on sand, which hardens your ankles and improves your balance before you even touch a Kho-Kho pole.
Why We Train on Dirt and Sand
Most modern sports facilities focus on synthetic mats, but we stick to the NTI Ground dirt court. Training on natural clay forces you to engage your stabilizing muscles, which you simply cannot replicate on a flat gym floor.
The Agility Program
We structure our daily sessions around the specific movements needed in a match:
- Sand Track Drills: Running on sand is a brutal but effective way to build explosive leg power. We use this to simulate the fatigue of a long, tactical match.
- Hurdle & Cone Work: These aren't just for show. We set these up to force quick directional changes, teaching you how to pivot sharply without losing your center of gravity. This is critical for the 'dodge' and 'defend' phases of Kho-Kho.
- Reaction Training: We run drills that simulate the chain-breaking movements of a live game, focusing on your timing and the sharp 'kho' response.
Building Your Foundation
Whether you are a beginner looking to improve your fitness or an experienced player aiming for the Sub-Junior Nationals, our 4:30 PM sessions are about discipline. We track attendance strictly because consistency is what builds an athlete. You get 5 to 6 sessions per week, and we expect you to show up, work hard, and push the person next to you.
This isn't a high-end gym with air conditioning. It is a field for people who want to put in the work, get a little mud on their shoes, and actually get faster at the sport they love.
