Real-Life Postpartum Fitness: My Journey as a Mom & Coach
I’m not just teaching postpartum recovery; I’m living it. From 'coach' Miraya correcting my rib flare to finding strength in the chaos, this is how I stay active while raising my daughter.
This is my version of the Nicki Minaj challenge: balancing my 6-year-old on my back during a beast hold. This is why we mamas need real-life functional strength.
When your 5-year-old becomes your fitness coach and is very serious about correcting your rib flare. Workouts are more fun with your mini by your side.
From being the reason I started Mama Be Fit to being my partner in daily workouts. My heart is full.
If I could go back to my early postpartum days, I'd tell myself that I don't have to "bounce back," I get to rebuild. Your body deserves your belief before the results show up.
Can you guess the postpartum benefit of this move? My daughter Miraya joined me for this movement challenge. I'll reveal the answer tomorrow!
I let my daughter Miraya pick my workout for the day from these cards. She chose three, and her joy reminded me that postpartum movement is about connection.
She called this one 'Angry Cat, Happy Cat.' This Cat-Cow stretch is postpartum gold for spinal mobility and connecting with your breath.
And she called this one 'Flying Puppy.' The Bird-Dog is a fantastic exercise for core stability and balance without straining your abs.
Miraya may just become my new coach! Involving your kids in your workout makes it fun and shows them the importance of movement.
POV: You discovered hip mobility can improve pelvic floor function, so you start including it in your daily core rehab routine, and your little one joins in.
About My Life as a Mom & Coach
I often get asked how I find time to train while raising Miraya. The truth is, I don't 'find' time, I weave movement into our day. When my daughter acts as my 'coach' or asks to do 'flying puppy' poses, it isn't just playtime. It is functional movement. I am sharing exactly how I shifted my mindset from punishing my body to rebuilding it, so you can stop rushing back and start healing properly.
For a long time, I thought fitness meant sweating it out in a gym while someone watched my baby. It took my own postpartum journey to realize that movement is about connection. My daughter, Miraya, became my most honest trainer. When she calls a cat-cow stretch 'angry cat, happy cat' or helps me with bird-dog poses, she is teaching me that fitness doesn't have to be a separate task on a to-do list.
My programs are built on this reality. You do not need to starve yourself or perform endless, exhausting cardio to fix your core. You need the right breathing techniques, postural adjustments, and consistent habits that fit into your actual life. Whether you are dealing with diastasis recti, that lingering 'mom pooch' due to pressure, or back pain from carrying your little ones, the answer isn't in a faster workout. It is in smarter, safer, and kinder movement.
I share these moments not just to be cute, but to show you what is possible. You can heal your pelvic floor, regain your posture, and feel strong enough to lift your kids without pain, all while being present as a mother. If you are ready to stop the 'bounce back' chase and start a real recovery, look through my programs. We go at your pace, starting exactly where you are today.
